Polyphasic sleep is a method of decreasing the body's sleep needs in order to increase the amount of quality waking time... by 40 hours per week! Let's talk about the idea of polyphasic sleep and how to actually do it. What are the requirements? Is it really possible to reduce the body's sleep needs? How easy is it?
We all need more time, right? One way to do that is through polyphasic sleep - objectively increasing the amount of waking time in each day. Sometimes though, the real bottleneck is in how efficiently we use the time we already have. There are two levels to examine: how efficiently we use the time we have to accomplish the tasks at hand, and how suited the tasks at hand are to the goal we want to achieve. These questions should be explored before trying polyphasic sleep. Come join us in East-West Books Cafe to explore this fascinating possibility.
This will be held in the cafe section of East West Bookstore, located near the corner of 5th Ave and 14th Street, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
